Celebrating more than 25 years performing in South Jersey, the John Walter Cape Community Band is honored to be recognized as the community concert band of Cape May County, NJ.   Members include current and former educators, business professionals, retirees and students from local elementary and high schools.   The John Walter Band’s mission is to foster and promote the social, intellectual, and musical welfare, education, and skill of our members and to bring music to the community.

The John Walter Band entertains the public throughout the year presenting a variety of music selections that are sure to please audiences both young and old.  Concerts are free, and most are open to the public.   Many JWB members are former music teachers and take special pride in mentoring young musicians, offering students a unique opportunity to improve technique and musician-ship.

The JWB Quintet Plus is a group of full-time members of the John Walter Band.  This Quintet was formed to help spread the joy of music to locations that might not accommodate a full concert band.  This elite troupe performs popular music arranged in the style of the famous European brass ensembles.  Musical selections feature well known seasonal and contemporary tunes, both secular and non-secular.  For more information about the JWB Quintet Plus or to schedule a musical presentation please contact us!
