At the heart of the John Walter Cape Community Band’s mission is a commitment to enriching the local community through the gift of music. Our Play It Again program breathes new life into gently used instruments by collecting, refurbishing, and redistributing them to local schools and music programs. Through this initiative, we ensure that more students and aspiring musicians have access to the instruments they need to pursue their passion.

Do you have a brass, woodwind, or percussion instrument gathering dust at home? Join us in making a difference by donating your unused instrument. Contact Us and a band member will gladly arrange to pick up your donation and ensure that it’s placed back in service, inspiring the next generation of musicians.

Since the program’s inception, we have successfully completed over 100 instrument repairs, giving these instruments a second chance to create music. By extending their lifespan, we not only support local schools and community programs but also provide invaluable opportunities for those who may not otherwise have access to an instrument.

You can help us keep the music playing! Support Us to make a donation and assist with the costs of refurbishing instruments. Your generosity will help us continue this important work of bringing music into the lives of our community members.
